Galvanized by the historic opportunity of creating a National Alzheimer's Plan to change the trajectory of this disease, the Alzheimer's Association implemented public input sessions nationwide to inform implementation of the National Alzheimer's Project Act.  More than 43,000 individuals â€” those with Alzheimer's, caregivers, providers, research, health care professionals, community leaders and many other stakeholders â€” participated, offering views and perspectives on the challenges that must be addressed in the National Alzheimer's Plan.
 





On May 15, 2012, the Obama administration announced the

FIRST-EVER NATIONAL ALZHEIMER'S PLAN

​with a specific goal of finding effective ways to prevent and treat the disease by 2025.  As the driving force behind making Alzheimer's a national priority, we will be working without pause to ensure it is implemented effectively.
